Halo 4 talk

Hi guys.  I don’t know much about halo video games but for some reason I have been hearing a lot of Halo 4 talk.  I was wondering if this game is really popular or even a good game.  I don’t know anything specifically about the game but I know my boyfriend really likes to play video games and I would like to get him one for his birthday. I’m not really sure what video games he likes to play I just know he likes to play shooter games.  I also heard him say that halo just came out with a game called Combat Evolved? (I don’t know if this is right) I was wondering if people like the game and if it’s a good game I think I will get it for my boyfriend.
